Holiday or family home?

This design is very flexible and can range in size from 79m² to 135m² without changing the basic principles.

Starting from a holiday or retirement home with a ground floor master bedroom with mezzanine for guests as a sleeping platform or games room. To a family home with two bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and separate WC.

Always the feel of the house is to provide an open, airy and spacious living area on the ground floor flowing out through terrace doors to a sheltered outside deck.

The upper floor is completely fexible
depending on requirements. A sleeping loft for hordes of visiting grandchildren; a music room; library or study; or another large bedroom with its own bathroom.

The construction method most suitable for this design is timber framed with wooden siding outside. We have shown only one possible finish for the house but others are available. We can change the colour, or make it two colours of wood, a dark one for the frames and a lighter colour for the panels. Also the wood for the construction of the frames can be specified.

There are three possible layouts shown on the designs with a variety of window options but these can be easily adapted to suit an individual customer.

A suitable building plot for a design like this can be either sloping or flat and does not require a large plot although we have always envisaged this house near water - a lake, river or even just a garden pond.
