This mansion was built in 2001 as a large family house with guest house on three floors and is a registered business.
The house consists of a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and kitchenette on the top floor. Below are 3 additional bedrooms and bathrooms with the main kitchen and lounge. There four balconies on this part with 2 garages and a large workshop. These three bedrooms can be used as additional guest rooms.
The main building is used as B & B with 6 30m² double bedrooms each with en-suite bedrooms. It has a breakfast room (30m²), reception (30²), and a community kitchen (25m²) and a laundry.
There are balconies with views over the lake.
With central heating, good quality carpeting and tiles throughout, natural wood doors, windows and ceilings. 2 satelite dishes are connected through to TVs in each bedroom.
The whole plot is fenced and has mature fruit and nut trees and includes secure parking. Situated in a scenic area near a Nature Reserve and on the bus route to Lake Balaton.
The village of Balatongyörök (click on the town name at the top right to see photos) is situated in one of the most beautiful spots of the lake: the natural beauty of the countryside is given by the surrounding untouched hills and forests, the gentle slopes, the nice views from the look-out spots and the exciting water life of Lake Balaton. In the village you can experience a unique combination of old traditions, the elements of folk architecture and the dynamic development of the 20th century, which makes it a beautiful village with its streets full of flowers.
In 1990 the village was awarded the prize of "Europe village" given to the nicest villages of Europe. Szépkilátó look-out tower offers the most beautiful view of Lake Balaton. The landscape gave inspiration to several poets including Károly Eötvös. Every year since 2004 its beach has been awarded the Blue Flag, which is given to the best-kept and cleanest beaches of Lake Balaton.
It awaits children and adults with children´s pools, water chutes and all sorts of sports facilities. Visitors are attracted here by the delicious wines of the vineyards, traditional wine-tasting, friendly restaurants, a variety of programmes for tourists, accommodation of high standards and various programmes from spring to autumn.
The lovers of nature can go hiking in the Keszthely-hills surrounding the village, where they can enjoy the beauty of several protected rare plants. Apart from this, lay-bys, shelters, barbecue spots, look-out towers are offered for visitors. Put on your hiking shoes and discover the surrounding forest and the summits of the hills. There you can enjoy a wonderful view. The 8,5 km long, built-up "Old dormouse" study trail presents the plant and animal species of the Keszthely hills with 38 information boards. It is a unique experience.
Hunting for small and big game is offered for Hungarian and foreign hunters in the neighbourhood. Balatongyörök has the longest section of the shore suitable for fishing. Fishing in the village dates back to the beginning of the 18th century. Fishing spots have been created by now. The development of fishing tourism was due to the construction of the harbour for 100 boats. The number and standard of programmes has risen, which is shown by the growing number of visitors, too. The wine festival in July, the wine programmes in August, the vintage festival and procession in September attract thousands of visitors from the neighbourhood.
The village awaits visitors with a wide variety of leisure time activities and with its atmosphere ideal for relaxation and recreation. Since the change of the political regime the local governments have been working hard to develop the region and make it attractive for the tourists as well as for the locals by preserving its traditions and relics.

Die Siedlung liegt an einem der schönsten Punkte des Sees: die abwechslungsreiche Schönheit der Naturlandschaft ist der Keuschheit der umliegenden Berge und Wälder, den milden Abhängen, dem Panorama von den Aussichtspunkten, der reizvollen Welt des Wassers vom Balaton zu verdanken.
Dem Dorf haben seine uralte Vergangenheit, die nach Jahrhunderten entstandene volkstümliche Baukunst und die schwunghafte Entwicklung des 20. Jahrhunderts die Koexistenz vom Alten und Neuen gegeben, die mit den in Blumen prangenden Straßen verbunden die Gemeinde märchenhaft verzaubert. Im Jahre 1990 hat die Gemeinde den Titel "Europadorf" gewonnen, der den schönsten Dörfern von Europa zukommt.
Von dem Hügel Szépkilátó (Schöne Aussicht) bietet sich den Besuchern das schönste Panorama auf den Plattensee. Zahllose Dichter, unter anderem auch Károly Eötvös wurden durch diese Landschaft inspiriert.
Das Freibad der Gemeinde mit Plantschbecken und Wasserrutsche - das sowohl Kleinen als auch Großen in fast allen Sportarten Unterhaltungsmöglichkeiten anbietet - hat 2004 die Blaue Flagge (seitdem jedes Jahr) errungen, die den gepflegtsten, saubersten Freibädern am Balaton verliehen wird.
Die aromatischen Weine der Weinberge, die Tradition der Weinprobe, die Gerichte der stimmungsvollen Gasthäuser, die vielseitigen touristischen Dienstleistungen des Dorfes, das anspruchsvolle Angebot der Unterkunftsmöglichkeiten, die Programme von Frühling bis Herbst erwecken das Interesse.
Die Ausflügler können in dem das Dorf umliegenden Gebirge Keszthely eine gemütliche Wanderung machen, wo sie sich an zahllosen geschützten, seltenen Pflanzen ergötzen können, außerdem wird die Erholung durch eine Raststätte, durch ein Gewächshaus, durch Lagerfeuer und Aussichtspunkte komfortabler gemacht. Sie sollen die Tourenschuhe anziehen und die Wälder, sowie die Berggipfel bezwingen. Der ausgebaute Lehrpfad stellt die Flora und Fauna des Keszthelyer Gebirges. Dieser Lehrpfad mit 38 Informationstafeln ist 8,5 km lang. Es ist ein richtiges Erlebnis.
In- wie ausländische Gäste haben die Möglichkeit in dieser Umgebung Klein- und Hochwild zu jagen. Balatongyörök hat die längste, für das Angeln geeignete Uferstrecke des Balatons. Die Tradition des Angelns am Balaton begann im 18. Jahrhundert. Für heute wurden die Angelplätze ausgebaut. Der Bootshafen für 100 Boote leistete einen großen Beitrag zur Entfaltung des Angeltourismus.
Die Anzahl und das Niveau der Veranstaltungen ist gestiegen. Ein Beweis dafür ist die wachsende Teilnehmerzahl. Das Weinfestival im Juli, das Weingetümmel im August, das Winzerfest und der Aufzug im September locken Tausende von Interessenten aus der Umgebung.
Seit der politischen Wende in Ungarn arbeiten alle Selbstverwaltungen an der Verschönerung und Entwicklung der Siedlung sowie an der Erhaltung der Werte und Denkmäler, wodurch die Siedlung sowohl für die Besucher als auch für die Urbewohner immer attraktiver wird. |
