The village is situated on the left bank of the river "Rába" in the southern part of the county "Győr-Moson-Sopron", bordering on the county "Vas". As for geography it is a flat area with excellent soil basis, cut across by three rivers (Rába, Kis-Rába, Keszeg-ér).

Agriculture and raising animals gave its inhabitants safe job for whole centuries. The political and economic changes have given rise to certain rearrangements in the society since 1990. Thanks to its efforts the population of 900 is adopting itself to the changes satisfactorily. Having been familiar with the past of the village it is searching for a future that ensures its existence; the self-government functioning successfully for 10 years and having the significant help of the inhabitants supplied the habitation with almost all public utilities.

There have been positive changes in the high level accomplishment of education, health, trade, traffic, telecommunication and public security. We must not delay the handle of economic difficulties, first of all the local employment of the qualified workmen, the utilization of the excellent soil and environment basis.
